It is OUR TEAM that makes all the difference.
We believe the primary purpose of insurance is to provide protection and peace of mind for yourself, your family members and your employees. With over 30 years of experience, we have seen the market fluctuate and change and we continue to educate ourselves and update our systems to best support our clients. Many insurance brokers do not keep current on health insurance legislation for small employers and individuals because it is not a focus of their firms, at State Street Insurance, we value each client from a single person to a large company.
We customize your benefit package and continue to review it to be sure you are in the right place. We enjoy working with employers and also their employees directly to take the mystery out of their benefits and solve problems as they arise. Please let us know how we can help you in any way with Medicare, Individual Health Insurance, Dental and Vision plans and Company Benefit packages.

My industry found me as a UCSB student casting about for a future in psychology and research. In 1988, I began working for a large local agency while completing my degree and discovered that working with clients to demystify and assist with insurance was the “helping” career I was after. My happiest day is when a client comes in confused and leaves with a new understanding and confidence about their insurance, and often even a smile.
After 10 years, I took the grand leap and began my own firm. I am sincerely grateful for those first group and individual clients, most of whom are still with us today.
I love our town, watching my boys turn to men, my bubbly buddies and eccentric family, each and every dog, the Channel Islands, independent movies, jazz, Ancient History, and exploring new places. I’m trying to love low salt food and exercise, wish me luck!

Originally raised in the pacific northwest, I moved to Santa Barbara in my early twenties chasing love and new adventures. After working for a few large, national companies, I was tired of just “putting in my time” and not making a difference. I came upon State Street Insurance in 2009 looking for a company and job that I could be proud of. After 5 minutes of sitting down with Diana I knew that she was a one-of-a-kind, intelligent leader that I just wanted to learn from and be around.
Fast forward to now, throw in a husband, two beautiful sons, an office move to Cota Street Studios and here we are! My off hours are spent trucking my two young sons to soccer, baseball, swimming and endless birthday parties all around town. This Taekwondo black belt also enjoys workout cults, yoga, hiking, vinyl records, stinky cheese, California wines (all varieties) and traveling to seeing this beautiful world we live in. Cheers!
After moving from Arizona to California, I was introduced to the world of Health Insurance by Stephanie in 2009. Becoming a licensed Insurance Agent has been a great Journey and I couldn’t ask for a better team to work with. Diana has been a fantastic mentor in the industry and I am honored to learn from the best.
Oddly enough Insurance has also nurtured my passion as a textile artist. Weaving, quilting and garment construction not only require creativity but also an analytical mind. I am currently working on a series of tapestries that revolve around critical mass. I want to re-interpret quantities that are explained through graphs and how these communicate facts visually. All of these topics lend themselves to how we understand the “bigger picture” and help us interpret the vast world around us.
My immediate world consists of my lovely adopted Pitbull Kaiju, my awesome husband Peter and by beautiful son Clay. You will often find us taking a stroll through streets of Carpinteria, where we live, going to the beach or visiting one of the many public parks. My other hobbies, listed in order by amount of time spent, include Kung-fu, Tai Chi, being with friends, listening to audio books, sitting in traffic, cleaning my house, and drinking good beer.
I have lived in Santa Barbara County most of my life, with a little time in San Diego. I have two beautiful children, Milo and Nora and a very patient husband, Jeremy. My free time is spent volunteering for a wonderful Moms Group, spending time with the kids, and trying to fit in as many DIY crafts as possible. My days are jam packed full of time spent with wonderful coworkers in our beautiful office, family time and binge watching Netflix after the kids go to bed. I love working at State Street Insurance because we all strive to help our clients in the best way possible and make insurance quick and easy for everyone.
